Situated on the edge of the glorious Forest of Bowland, the Boars Head offers the best of Yorkshire Dales and unspoilt Lancashire landscapes. The Boars head is a traditional, family run pub and hotel in the small village of Long Preston. The inn offers contemporary and comfortable en-suite accommodation, good food and a fine choice of beverages.

The Boars Head has five well-appointed en-suite rooms which have been individually styled to give the rooms a welcoming, homely feel. There are twin, double and family size rooms, all with modern furnishings including a flat screen televisions. Your room will be serviced every day, so if you have any special requirements, please let your hosts know before you arrive.

There is a large bar area and a separate restaurant at the Boars Head with an open fire in the winter months, with a good selection of cask ales and a wide choice of wines by the glass. The restaurant can seat up to fifty people. The menu, served throughout the pub, provides a wide choice of traditional favourites such as Gammon, egg, hand-cut chips or steak and ale pie and huge beer battered haddock. There is also a selection of specials which are constantly changing offering some more unusual and exciting dishes. Breakfast at The Boars Head is prepared from fresh, quality ingredients and cooked to order.

The Boars Head provides the perfect base to explore and enjoy a wide range of attractions and activities. Situated amongst beautiful open Yorkshire Dales countryside and yet only a few miles from many spectacular natural features, bargain shopping, country sports, farmers markets, historic houses, abbeys, castles and gardens. The Boars Head is the perfect place to stay, to enjoy a good meal and to relax in peaceful surroundings. There are plenty of countryside activities to do and interesting places to visit in all weathers.Try the Crook O Lune or Gisburn Forest for a family bike ride or visit the Bowland Visitor Centre at Beacon Fell and explore its nature trails and the surrounding landscape. Take in Bowlands village cafes and farm shops, its countryside sites and wildlife, or the wide-open fells and footpaths on bike, by foot or horse.
