Situated in and around Coniston, right at the heart of England's beautiful Lake District are these eleven, great-value cottages. Little Arrow is a peaceful hamlet less than 2 miles south of Coniston village. Most of the cottages have been converted from the stone outbuildings of the 17th century farmhouse, and set in enchanting award-winning gardens. With properties ranging from cosy hideaways for two, to larger cottages sleeping twelve, ideal for families or friends; you're sure to find just the place for you. The range of Cottages sleep 2-12 people.

Visitors are encouraged to support the local area and shop locally and there is a good range of shops to supply all your holiday essentials. If you'd rather eat out, you'll be spoilt by the many great places to eat and drink, in and around Coniston and Torver. If you don't want to drive the local community bus connects with the Ambleside and Hawkshead service in a northerly direction; and to Ulverston and Barrow-in-Furness in a southerly direction. It stops outside the cottages in Little Arrow.

Coniston is a lively village during the main season, but is small enough to retain its warmth and friendliness. It has an excellent and varied range of shops, including a Post Office, bank and petrol station. Coniston also has its own Tourist Information Centre which is open all year round. The cottages in Coniston are all conveniently situated close to the village centre, making them an ideal holiday base at the foot of the Old Man.

With a choice of superb rural or village-based locations the cottages are full of character and great value for money. Some are dog friendly and every cottage is within half a mile of a good pub! Many walks begin right on the doorstep making this a great base for outdoor activity holidays. Family owned and run with very high standards of comfort and cleanliness; quality rated by the AA at 3 or 4 star. Many of the cottages have free Wi-Fi. The cottages can be viewed individually on the website.

The Lickle Valley is an undiscovered gem of the Lake District - a beautiful, quiet valley with good access to the south and west lakes, with absolutely stunning views. There is an excellent local pub (the Blacksmiths Arms) which serves good food within a short walk of the cottages. The market town of Broughton-in-Furness, just two miles away, is steeped in history, dating back to the eleventh century, located in a conservation area within the Lake District National Park, yet just a few miles from the coast, Broughton is an ideal base for a walking holiday, and its quiet local roads and bridleways make it popular with cyclists and horse riders.
