The quaint seaside resort of Filey, is perhaps for those of us looking for a more peaceful and relaxing holiday than its neighbours Scarborough and Whitby. A traditional Edwardian coastal town, retaining its olde worlde friendly charm. Standing in a wide bay with a long sandy beach, edged by beach chalets and a promendade.

You can take leisurely walks along the award winning five mile stretch of clean, sandy beach, stop to watch the fishermen mending nets. Wander north to the promontory of Filey Brigg where you can explore the many rock pools.

There's still plenty to see and do in Filey for the whole family; Parks, Castles, Farms, Conservation Centres, Galleries, Museums, Nightclubs, Cruises, Gardens. Visit Filey Museum and see history come to life, the Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park where you can explore different habitats and really get to know the animals.

You will find a variety of accommodation on offer to suit all tastes, from hotels enjoying panoramic views across the bay, to the more typical accommodation of guest houses usually found in quiet residential Victorian terraces, in keeping with the traditional atmosphere of Filey. To the self catering accommodation of quaint fishermans cottages, static caravans and lodges, if its camping you're after then Filey is the ideal destination for your short break or holiday.

Whatever you're looking for the Yorkshire Moors Coast has it all and then some!
