High Grange Self Catering Holiday Cottages and Farmhouse provide the perfect base from which to explore the North Yorkshire countryside and nearby National Parks. Whether you are looking for a short break from the city or to book your family holiday their self catering holiday cottages provide the space and freedom you want from a country retreat.

Set between the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and the timeless North Yorkshire Moors, High Grange comprises of six cottages sympathetically converted from the original farm buildings and a farmhouse which is fantastic for accommodating large groups. All of our holiday cottages have everything you need for your stay, creating a homely atmosphere in which to enjoy your relaxing UK break.

Enjoy a romantic weekend away or enjoy a short break with family and friends. As all the cottages are in the same location they can accommodate larger groups and the farmhouse, with its private garden is an ideal place for everyone to meet and dine together after a day exploring local attractions. They are pet friendly accommodation so your dog is as welcome as you are.

The Farmhouse is the largest house with two lounges, large kitchen and a conservatory dining room seating up to 14. Granary Cottage is also large, sleeping up to six, it is perfect for a big family holiday. Daleview Cottage, Millers Cottage and Farriers Cottage are perfect for a small family. For 2 people only sharing a 2 bedroom cottage a 10% discount is applicable. Ploughmans Cottage and Orchard Cottage are ideal for that romantic break with one cosy double bed. All cottages come complete with equipped kitchens, WiFi and a television for your entertainment. You are perfectly located to put your walking boots on, put the lead on the dog and take a stroll in the miles of countryside and national parks.

The cottages are situated in open countryside a ten minute walk from the village of Exelby where you will find a welcoming traditional country pub, with an open fire, beer garden and seasonal menu. The Woodman Inn, just a mile away in Burneston is the place to go for good food, a friendly face and a good pint....And with Steak night Tuesday, Music night Wednesday, Quiz night Thursday, there's always something going on. They also run a free pick up service when you book a meal so you don't need to drive.

The market town of Bedale is two miles away. There is a good range of shops, pubs and cafes as well as a leisure centre with swimming pool. Bedale is the gateway to Wensleydale with its attractive countryside and market towns of Leyburn, Middleham, Bainbridge and Hawes.

High Grange is an ideal base for touring North Yorkshire. Centrally situated between two National Parks and with easy access to the A1. Travel west into the Yorkshire Dales or travel east to the North Yorks Moors and the coast. Alternatively visit Yorkshire's historic and picturesque cities. Walk the walls at York, have a boutique shopping experience in Harrogate or visit the historic market at Ripon.

High Grange is dog friendly but accept one dog only, please check when booking. They have a large field for dog walks, or just an evening stroll to enjoy the views across Wensleydale to Penn Hill. A list of dog friendly places to eat can be found in the cottage. And we have an excellent local kennels for doggy daycare enabling you to visit places/attractions you wouldn't normally be able to do with your pet in tow.
