Hollins Farm lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty between two of North Lancashires most picturesque coastal villages, Silverdale and Arnside. A friendly and welcoming site; it's a simple life here, with just hens, pygmy goats, horses, cows and a friendly warden family for company, an ideal place to get away from it all. You can walk for miles along the coast, enjoying the dramatic views of Morecambe Bay with the towering mountains of the Lake District at the far side.

Holidays at Holgates are about enjoying the outdoors with a touch of luxury attached.

Hollins Farm has the best of both worlds. It's a quiet park, but a pleasant ten-minute walk across the field, leads to the flagship Silverdale park; where Hollins Farm guests are welcome to use the splendid leisure facilities, bowling alley, bar and restaurant. A 15-minute walk takes you to the nearest pub, and a further ten minutes to the hostelries, shops and restaurants of Silverdale village. Silverdale is also home to the RSPBs Leighton Moss, where some of the UKs rarest birds, including the elusive Bittern and the Marsh Harrier.

Surrounding Hollins Farm is a wide variety of scenery, from historic ruins to sandy beaches. The historic city of Lancaster and seaside town of Morecambe are a short drive away. The Lake District with its stunning landscape of mountains, fells and lakes, is also on hand. Silverdale is Britains smallest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Wander through the village and stock up at the local shops all stocking fresh produce that is locally grown. Walk down to the sea at Jenny Browns Point for a panoramic view across the bay. Nearby Leighton Moss, run by the RSPB, is home to special birds such as breeding bitterns and bearded tits, as well as deer and butterflies.

Arnside Knott (522ft) dominates a rocky peninsula where the village of Arnside stands. In days gone by, small coasters, steamers and yachts called at landings in Arnside, but when the estuary began to silt up, Arnside lost its marine ties. Today you can enjoy strolling through the bustling seaside village; catch the remarkable sight of the tide as it sweeps up the bay; and enjoy a supper of fish and chips on the beach, watching the salmon leap as the sun sets. Kendal - The 'Gateway to the Lakes' is just 15 miles away, with its shopping facilities, theatre and cinema and museums.
