Travelling to Southampton & Isle of Wight

By Road: From the South West take the M5, A30 or A358, A303, A36, M27 to junction 5 and follow signs to City Centre and Waterfront.

From the South East take the A27 or A272, or A3M, M27 to junction 5 and follow signs to City Centre and Waterfront.

From the North and Midlands take the M6 or A1/M1, M42, M40 and A34 links to the City Centre and harbour. Alternatively, take the M6 and M1, M25, M3 to junction 14, and then theA33 direct to Southampton City Centre and Waterfont.

From the Wales, Bristol, and the West Country take the M4 to junction 13, A34, M3 to junction 14, and the A33 to Southampton City Centre and Waterfront. Alternatively, you can take the M4 to junction 18, A46, A36, M27, M271 to City Centre and Waterfront.

From the London, Heathrow Airport and the East take the M25 or A316 and join the M3 motorway south to junction 14, A33 to City Centre and Waterfront.

By Rail: South West Trains operate frequent services between Waterloo (via Clapham Junction, Woking, Basingstoke, Winchester, Southampton Airport) and Southampton. They also run services from Weymouth, Poole and Bournemouth and Connex provide services to Portsmouth and Brighton.

Virgin Cross Country Trains operate from Scotland, the North, Midlands and Birmingham. Wessex Passenger Trains run from South Wales through Bristol and Salisbury.

Both Stagecoach and National Express run very regular services to the area seven days per week, and there are very busy regular train schedules from a selection of rail operators from major stations around the UK.
