West Yorkshire:

If you’re in Bradford and you love curry, then rumour has it that there are more Indian restaurants there than in Bombay – and they’re usually of a very high standard.

We took a look at that traditional Yorkshire favourite – the very best fish and chips – at the excellent Mother Hubbard’s Fish Restaurant in Bradford, immensely popular and open seven days a week.

For a more sophisticated ambience, there’s Lounge 68 in Huddersfield, where you can bump into certain celebrities on the right night and enjoy a fine menu. 1535 Bar & Restaurant is also a cool destination to head for in Huddersfield, and not far from Halifax there’s the highly recommended cuisine of 1885 The Restaurant, with it’s adventurous menu.
